Kamala Harris clashed with a combative Fox News interviewer last week, but on “Saturday Night Live,” she was portrayed by Maya Rudolph reaching out to younger voters on TikTok. Alec Baldwin played Fox News anchor Bret Baier, and James Austin Johnson portrayed Donald Trump, who declared America both great and terrible. Harris criticized Trump’s rally in Coachella, California, where some attendees were allegedly stranded after campaign buses left. Dana Carvey played Biden, with Harris joking she would be “jabillion times jabetter” than “Juh-Biden.” Harris also criticized Trump’s appearance at a Pennsylvania town hall where he danced to YMCA. Michael Keaton hosted the show, and Billy Eilish was the musical guest. The episode continued to draw inspiration from the current campaign season, with SNL putting a comedic spin on recent political events.
