South Carolina high school football is heating up as the Class AAAAA Division 1 state tournament is in full swing. The South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) is overseeing the competition, which began on Nov. 15. Only two teams out of the 24 that qualified will advance to the state championship game on Dec. 13. On3 Composite Rankings are closely tracking the playoff bracket, scores, and game schedules for South Carolina Class AAAAA Div. 1.
In a recent move, the SCHSL executive committee decided to split Class AAAAA into two divisions for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, meaning there will be different champions in Divisions 1 and 2 for all sports, including football. This change saw the 28 largest schools in Division 1 and the remaining 26 in Division 2, reverting Class AAAA to a single division.
The competition is fierce, with top teams like Dutch Fork, Rock Hill, Summerville, and Carolina Forest all in the mix. Fans can catch all the action by tuning in to watch their high school’s games on NFHS Network. The excitement is building as the tournament progresses towards the state championship game, set to take place on Dec. 13. Stay tuned for more updates and results as the best high school football teams in South Carolina battle it out for the title.
