The South Carolina High School League state football playoffs are heating up with teams progressing to the semifinals. The latest Top 25 South Carolina High School Football Rankings have been released, with top-ranked teams gearing up for intense matchups.
The top-ranked team, Dutch Fork, defeated Camden 49-7 in the third round of the AAAA state playoffs and is set to face South Pointe in the Class AAAA state semifinals. Second-ranked Gaffney triumphed over River Bluff 52-14 in the AAAAA Division 1 state playoffs and will go up against Spartanburg in the semifinals.
Other notable teams include Summerville, who defeated Ridge View in the AAAAA Division 1 state playoffs, and is set to face Sumter in the semifinals. Defending champions Hammond, with a season complete and SCISA 4-A state champions, have secured their title.
Upcoming matchups include No. 8 Mountain View Prep facing off against No. 15 Powdersville in the Class AAA state semifinals, while No. 19 is set to take on Cross in the Class A state semifinals. Excitement is building as teams battle it out for a chance to make it to the state finals and secure their spot as champions of high school football in South Carolina.
