Reports indicate that Jeremiah Donati will be hired as the new AD for South Carolina

The University of South Carolina is set to hire Jeremiah Donati as its new athletics director, according to reports. Donati, who currently serves as the athletics director at TCU in Texas, is expected to be approved by the USC Board of Trustees at a meeting on Thursday. The Board has scheduled a news conference following the meeting to announce the decision. Donati will replace longtime athletics director Ray Tanner, who announced his departure in September. Tanner will remain with the university as athletics director emeritus and a senior advisor to the school president. Donati’s accomplishments at TCU include overseeing $500 million in donor-supported facility upgrades, winning eight team national championships, and spearheading major fundraising initiatives. His leadership has also resulted in the football team reaching the national championship game in 2022. The USC Board of Trustees is expected to officially approve Donati’s hiring during Thursday’s meeting, marking a new chapter for the university’s athletics department under his leadership.
