Gamecocks’ Defense Dominates in 73-51 Victory Over Boston College – University of South Carolina Athletics

South Carolina’s men’s basketball team secured their first true road win of the season with a dominant 73-51 victory over Boston College in the SEC/ACC Challenge on Tuesday. Collin Murray-Boyles led the way with 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Nick Pringle added 11 points for the Gamecocks.

South Carolina started slow but took the lead early in the first half and never looked back. The team’s defense was impressive, holding Boston College to just 33.3% shooting from the floor and 12.5% from the three-point line.

This win improves South Carolina’s record in the SEC/ACC Challenge to 2-0 all-time, showcasing their strength against ACC opponents. The Gamecocks’ frontcourt duo of Murray-Boyles and Pringle combined for 25 points and 18 rebounds, with Murray-Boyles recording his fourth career double-double.

Head coach Lamont Paris celebrated his fifth win over an ACC school in the last three seasons. The team’s bench also contributed significantly, scoring 22 points in the game.

South Carolina will look to carry this momentum into their next game against East Carolina at Colonial Life Arena on December 7. This victory marks a significant milestone for the Gamecocks as they continue to build success within the SEC/ACC Challenge and beyond.
