AP Source: South Carolina To Appoint Jeremiah Donati From TCU As New Athletic Director

South Carolina has made the decision to hire TCU athletic director Jeremiah Donati as their new AD. The university’s Board of Trustees has scheduled a meeting to officially announce the hiring. Donati will be taking over from the long-time athletic director Ray Tanner, who will be moving to a different role as special advisor to the university President.

Donati, who was named TCU’s athletic director in December 2017, brings a wealth of experience to South Carolina. During his tenure at TCU, the football team played in the national championship game and had a successful season. South Carolina’s athletic program is also excelling, with the women’s basketball team winning their third national title since 2017, the men’s basketball team making it to the NCAA Tournament, and the football team going 9-3 with six straight victories.

Before joining TCU, Donati worked with Leigh Steinberg Sports and Entertainment and held college fundraising positions at various universities. His experience and success at TCU make him a strong candidate to lead South Carolina’s athletic program to further success.

The 47-year-old Donati has been praised for his leadership and success in elevating TCU’s athletics program, and his appointment is expected to bring positive changes and continued success to South Carolina’s sports teams. A press conference is scheduled to provide more details about Donati’s hiring.
