In a fast-paced game, the Rapid City Rush scored in the opening minute but ultimately fell to the South Carolina Stingrays 3-1 at the North Charleston Coliseum. Defenseman Zack Hoffman scored the Rush’s quickest goal of the season just 26 seconds into the game, but the Stingrays responded with three unanswered goals in the second period to take the win.
Despite numerous high-danger chances in their comeback effort, the Rush could not capitalize against Stingrays goalie Mitchell Gibson, who made 23 consecutive saves after Hoffman’s goal. Matt Radomsky stopped 25 out of 28 shots for the Rush but took the loss.
The Rush will have a chance for redemption as they face off against the South Carolina Stingrays again on December 8 at 1:05 p.m. MST. Additionally, fans can look forward to a three-game series against the Wichita Thunder on December 12, 13, and 14, with December 14th being Teddy Bear Toss and Peanuts Night.
