Actor Sonu Sood has responded to reports of a non-bailable warrant issued against him by a Ludhiana court in connection with a fraud case. The warrant directs the Oshiwara Police Station, Mumbai, to arrest him, but Sonu has denied any wrongdoing, stating that he was only summoned as a witness and has no direct involvement in the matter. He took to social media to refute the claims, calling the media coverage sensationalized and misleading. Sonu expressed disappointment at how celebrities are unfairly targeted and emphasized that the controversy was an attempt to generate unnecessary media attention. He has stated that legal action will be taken in the matter.
Regarding his work, Sonu was last seen in the action thriller Fateh, where he also made his directorial debut. The film, featuring Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah, saw Sonu in the role of Fateh Singh, a former special operations officer turned dairy farm supervisor in Punjab. Fateh faced competition at the box office but performed steadily and was praised for its action sequences and compelling narrative.
The next hearing in Sonu’s fraud case is scheduled for February 10, 2025. Despite the legal issues, Sonu remains dedicated to his work and is focused on delivering quality performances in the film industry.
