Western Carolina Men’s Golf to Compete in Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate
Western Carolina men’s golf team is set to compete in the three-day, 54-hole Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in coastal South Carolina. Co-hosted by the College of Charleston and South Carolina, the tournament will take place at the Bulls Bay Golf Club.
The event will feature a 15-team field including teams from Coastal Carolina, ETSU, Elon, and more. The Catamounts will be led by sophomore Jace Butcher, who is third on the WCU squad in seasonal stroke average. Freshman Chase Cline, the team’s seasonal leader, will also play a key role in the competition.
The Catamounts will be paired with golfers from Coastal Carolina and Rutgers for the tournament. Live scoring will be available online through a link at CatamountSports.com. Complete recaps from the event will be posted on the website following each round.
