Eight South Carolina Men Arrested in Child Predator Sting

In a coordinated operation aimed at combating online child exploitation, eight men have been arrested in South Carolina for attempting to meet minors for sexual activity. The Irmo Police Department, alongside local, state, and federal agencies, conducted an undercover sting that targeted suspected child predators.
The operation involved investigators posing as children or adults with access to minors. Several suspects initiated contact and disclosed their intentions during online chats. Once meetings were arranged, law enforcement intervened before any illegal activity occurred.
The arrested individuals, aged 25 to 59, face serious charges, including Attempted Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor and Criminal Solicitation of a Minor. Notably, some suspects had additional charges related to reckless driving or immigration detainers.
Among those apprehended, Jason Adam Wilson, 34, had an outstanding warrant for probation violations.
