COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina Gamecocks volleyball is gearing up for the 2025 season with a newly finalized roster announced by head coach Sarah Rumely Noble. The squad welcomes six fresh talents, including four collegiate transfers and two high school prospects, complementing the six players signed during the fall semester.
Noble expressed her enthusiasm about the roster, highlighting the growth and commitment of returning players. The returners, including standout starter Sarah Jordan, SEC All-Freshman honoree Victoria Harris, and senior Alayna Johnson, have set a strong foundation for team culture as they integrate the new members. "Our returners made huge strides in the gym and created an environment of competitiveness and a desire to win," Noble stated.
Among the newcomers is Ava Leahy, a 6-1 middle blocker from Charlotte, N.C., who shone at Appalachian State, earning a second-team All-Sun Belt Conference spot in 2024. Other notable additions include Lina Merz, a 6-2 pin hitter from Germany, who helped her team clinch national titles, and Sydney Davis, a Florida native, recognized as an all-state player in her senior season.
The roster also features defensive specialist Anne Bradley Bing, setter Kaia Pixler, and middle blocker Emily Beeker, who has a strong background at Tennessee. Laiya Ebo, a versatile pin hitter from Washington, D.C., joins the team with notable accomplishments during her stint at Butler.
