Georgetown County Drug Bust Leads to Three Arrests

Georgetown County, S.C. (WCSC) – The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office executed a significant drug bust on Monday, resulting in the arrest of three men and the seizure of various drugs and firearms. Hubert Bone, 65, faces multiple serious charges, including trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and cocaine, and firearm offenses. Mark Jayroe, 41, has been charged with trafficking meth, while 51-year-old Rodney Cooper is charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.

The arrests occurred at a residence on Kent Road, where deputies discovered trafficking quantities of meth and fentanyl, along with distribution amounts of crack cocaine, cocaine, and marijuana. In addition to the drugs, law enforcement officials seized a total of 12 rifles and shotguns, as well as two pistols. The investigation highlights ongoing efforts by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office to combat drug-related crime in the area, aiming to enhance community safety. The authorities have urged anyone with information regarding similar activities to come forward. As the case progresses, the suspects remain in custody, awaiting their day in court.
