South Carolina Basketball Extends Scholarship Offer to Four-Star Forward Justin Caldwell
South Carolina basketball has officially offered a scholarship to Justin Caldwell, a talented forward from the class of 2026, following his recent unofficial visit to the Gamecocks’ campus. The four-star prospect shared the news on social media, adding USC to a growing list of over 20 scholarship offers.
Caldwell, who plays for Berean Baptist Academy in Fayetteville, North Carolina, is a rising star in the recruitment scene, having showcased impressive skills during the summer circuit. This visit marks his second trip to USC, with an earlier visit occurring last season during a game.
Standing 6’9" and weighing 240 pounds, Caldwell is recognized for his versatility on the court. His physical presence allows him to effectively dominate near the basket, while his improved shooting ability enables him to convert difficult shots both off the dribble and under tight defense. Defensively, Caldwell uses his length and athleticism to block shots and stay competitive against a variety of opponents.
Currently ranked as the No. 158 overall prospect by On3, Caldwell is also recognized as the No. 23 power forward in the nation and the ninth best player in North Carolina, according to ESPN rankings.
