Press Release: South Carolina’s 2026 Basketball Schedule Announced

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference (SEC) has unveiled the 2026 men’s basketball opponents for each school, spotlighting an exciting lineup for the South Carolina Gamecocks. Notably, eight out of nine home games will feature teams that participated in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

The Gamecocks’ schedule includes two matches each against traditional rivals Georgia and Florida, as well as LSU. Other formidable opponents visiting Colonial Life Arena will be Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. The clash with the Oklahoma Sooners marks the first encounter between the two teams at Colonial Life Arena.

On the road, South Carolina will face Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Texas, and Texas A&M. The matchup against Texas will be particularly historic, marking only the second time the Gamecocks have played in Austin, the first since January 23, 1982.

SEC play kicks off on January 3 and continues until March 7, 2026. The SEC Tournament will be held in Nashville, Tennessee, from March 11-15, 2026.

The SEC recently concluded a record-setting season, with teams achieving an extraordinary 88.9 percent (185-23) win rate in regular season non-conference games and securing a historic KenPom.com rating of +22.09. In 2025, the SEC made headlines with 14 NCAA Tournament selections, including four teams in the Elite Eight, and saw Auburn and Florida reach the Final Four, with Florida clinching the national title—their first since 2012.

As anticipation builds for the upcoming season, ticket information is available, with season tickets starting as low as $95. For further details, visit GamecocksOnline.com.
