Colonial Life Extends Naming Rights for USC Arena
Columbia, SC – Colonial Life and the University of South Carolina have announced the renewal of the naming rights sponsorship for the Colonial Life Arena. The new agreement, effective from October 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027, will include both exterior and interior signage at the arena, along with promotional packages linked to the Gamecock athletics program.
Tim Arnold, Colonial Life’s president and CEO, emphasized the company’s long-standing support for the University and the Midlands community. “This sponsorship renewal reflects our ongoing commitment to the University of South Carolina and our philanthropic efforts statewide,” said Arnold.
Colonial Life first partnered with USC in October 2003, becoming the university’s inaugural corporate naming rights sponsor. During this two-decade partnership, the women’s basketball program has celebrated three National Championships, showcasing the success of their combined initiatives. Other collaborative endeavors include involvement with the Darla Moore School of Business Board of Advisors, the College of Education’s various programs, and community support initiatives.
Athletics Director Jeremiah Donati praised Colonial Life as a loyal partner, underscoring shared values in promoting quality athletic and entertainment events in the region. “This extension reflects our continued collaboration, benefiting both our brands and the community,” he noted.
Since its opening in November 2002, the Colonial Life Arena has been a pivotal location for various events, including Gamecock Men’s and Women’s Basketball games, concerts, comedy shows, and graduation ceremonies. As South Carolina’s largest event venue, it remains integral to Columbia’s cultural and entertainment landscape, catering to a wide array of audiences throughout the Midlands.
